Context
A wellness app challenge, in under two weeks, with a team of three. Sleep apps are everywhere, but almost all of them target stressed adults — almost none address parents, whose children’s sleep shapes the whole family’s well-being. That became our focus.
Research
We surveyed 14 parents and interviewed 7: 64.3% dealt with irregular sleep schedules and 57.1% wanted expert-validated sleep tips. Their biggest worries: having to log data every night, and simply forgetting to open the app in the “high-speed tunnel” of the evening. An empathy map and our persona — Laura, 36, mother of 3-year-old Emma — guided the rest.

Problem statement
“Parents of young children need to create and maintain sleep routines for their kids because they struggle with their children's resistance and irregular sleep patterns, which negatively impact the family's overall well-being.”
Solution
Evening flow — a notification invites Laura to start the routine; she can customize routines per child or per day, and use helpful features such as bedtime stories, in audio or as text to read aloud.
Morning flow — instead of night tracking, a very short Q&A each morning (did the child fall asleep as expected, how was the night, was the routine followed?) leads to a recap and personalized advice.
Tests led us to add a weekly calendar and to remove a “routine completed” button nobody used.

Visual design
A calm, night-time palette built around three attributes: family, relaxation, comfort. I created the logo (Midjourney, refined in Photoshop) and later reworked alignment and the dashboard after the final presentation.

Next steps
More usability testing, a stronger dashboard, routine targets per child, plus the Profile and Learn pages with expert resources.
